The return to school brings a mix of emotions for children and parents alike — excitement, nerves, and often anxiety. Whether your child is starting school for the first time or heading back after summer break, feelings of worry and separation can be challenging for everyone.

As parents, it is common to question if you are doing enough or managing separation anxiety the right way. When your child clings at drop off or becomes upset every morning, it can leave you feeling frustrated or unsure. We understand, and that is why we are hosting a special event to support families through this transition.

Join Us for a Morning of Real Talk and Support

On Saturday, August 16th, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., we will be hosting an event at Little Kids Play Zone in Pembroke Pines designed to help both children and parents navigate the emotional and social challenges of returning to school.

You will hear from three experienced professionals:

  • Orianna Torres, Child Psychotherapist

  • Fabiana Martin, Pediatric Occupational Therapist

  • Emily Calvo, Psychotherapist and Parenting Specialist

Together, we will discuss common issues such as anxiety related to school, strategies to support your child, and how to manage parental feelings like guilt around separation struggles.
